At the historic St Francis Inn in St. Augustine, breakfast is an experience worth having. We serve a scrumptious Breakfast Buffet, and strive to keep it as informal and relaxed as the rest of your stay without sacrificing flavor or experience.
Whether you’re an early riser or like to take your time in the morning, we’ll have breakfast ready and waiting. Guests can stroll down to breakfast on their own schedule, anytime from 7:30 am to 9:30 am (and an hour later during Extended Brunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and post-holiday mornings). There’s no need to be on a schedule when you’re visiting us in beautiful St. Augustine! Share the breakfast experience with fellow guests, either in the Inn’s comfortable Dining Room or outdoors in our lovely garden Courtyard.
If you prefer quiet time alone as you browse your morning newsfeed or reading material, select your own table and dine in peace. You can also bring buffet selections back to your own room, where you’ll enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own room. We can even arrange to serve breakfast for two in your guest room or suite for an extra $49.95 fee. Just let us know in advance if this is something you’d like to arrange!
You’ll never experience the same breakfast day after day at the St. Francis Inn. We like to keep things interesting and our guests satisfied. The varied menu of our Buffet Breakfast always includes two hot, homemade entrees that vary daily, a fresh fruit salad or fruit soup, fresh-baked bread, English muffins, homemade granola, assorted cereals, coffee and assorted teas, fresh juices, whole and fat-free milk, and a full serving of Inn hospitality. Put simply, there’s no better way to start your day in St.Augustine than our scrumptious breakfast!
Breakfast is served Monday-Friday from 7:30 to 9:30 am. Our extended brunch is served on Saturdays, Sundays, and post-holiday mornings until 10:30 am, and includes complimentary Champagne Mimosas and make-your-own Bloody Marys; it’s the perfect addition to your weekend!
Please note that the Holiday Brunch is served the morning after the evening that was charged at our “holiday” rate; for example, the Thanksgiving Holiday Brunch is served on Friday morning for guests who stayed with us on Thanksgiving (Thursday) night.
Free Guest Amenities at the St. Francis Inn
- Our complimentary Social Hour, held from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily in the dining room, allows a delightful opportunity to meet other guests. We serve local wines from the San Sebastian Winery, as well as our House Wines and cold beer to choose from. Enjoy some light snacks and whet your appetite for one of St Augustine’s many delectable restaurants.
- Decadent Evening Desserts, homemade at the Inn, are offered nightly to all our guests. They will be different each day of your stay, ranging from layer cakes to fresh fruit pies and crisps, from rich chocolaty brownies to chewy bars. Your Evening Dessert is boxed up just for you; enjoy it in our Dining Room, one of our outdoor seating areas, or snuggled up in your room.
- The Inn’s swimming pool is a private hideaway – great for cooling off on a hot day. The pool water is temperature-controlled year-round to maintain a temperature of about 85°F, ensuring maximum swimming comfort. Poolside is an excellent place to lounge with a good book or catch up on your emails. We also have aqua exercise equipment for guest use upon request… good for working off the treats you eat during your stay.
- Guests love our complimentary Specialty Coffee Bar, offered from 7:30 am until noon. Espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos are individually made to order, with seasonal specials like Pumpkin Spice, Irish Cream Latte, or Chocolate Bianco Latte. Beverages such as house blend regular, decaf, flavored coffees, hot chocolate, assorted hot teas, soda, and bottled water are offered all day.
- Guests at the St. Francis Inn can enjoy complimentary s’mores by the courtyard gas fire pit each evening. All the ingredients are provided, and the fire pit is lit from 7:00 to 9:00 pm nightly, weather permitting.
- The Courtyard, with its award-winning tropical gardens, is a relaxing oasis for guests, shaded by giant live oaks. Guests often choose to enjoy their daily Evening Socials hour here, too.
- Electric Vehicle Charging: Owners of Tesla Model S and other electric cars can now recharge during their stay. Two complimentary Tesla/electric vehicle charging stations and designated parking spaces are located in the Inn’s private parking lot. - Plush white terry guest robes, monogrammed with the Inn’s logo, are provided in your guest room, for you to snuggle up in after a bath or help you warm up by the fireplace. You can wear the robe to the swimming pool during your stay at St. Francis Inn. They are so snuggly, many guests want their own to take home, so we offer them for sale in our gift center – a great memento of your vacation!
- Complimentary fresh flowers, a sherry decanter, and snifters greet guests in their room or suite upon arrival. Relax and enjoy these special treats in privacy and comfort during your stay.
- Chocolate snickerdoodles are just one of our guests’ favorite varieties of Inn Cookies, baked daily for guests to help themselves. Snack on complimentary fresh fruit during the day, too.
